The connectivism class I'm taking is focused on networks this week, so I found it perfect timing for this feature to be released.<\/p>\n<div class=\"p_embed p_image_embed\"><a href=\"http:\/\/getfile5.posterous.com\/getfile\/files.posterous.com\/temp-2011-01-24\/olpsvhzgqGFpvCHjgnzBmrwlsBIGhoDCilHtncFaIHilIrfIvxmFmbyGlFmI\/network.png.scaled1000.png\"><img data-opt-id=239558194  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.coachingforleaders.com\/cb:ztCJ~31fd5\/w:300\/h:217\/q:mauto\/f:best\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/teachinginhighered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/network.png.scaled500.png\" alt=\"Network\" width=\"500\" height=\"362\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I started the first decade of my career with a global, franchised training company, represented in dark blue on my network map. More recently, I've spent seven years teaching in higher ed, with my full-time position at <a href=\"http:\/\/vanguard.edu\" target=\"_blank\">Vanguard University<\/a>, represented in dark orange on the map. Considering the length of time at both of those institutions, it isn't surprising that they make such a mark on the map.<\/p>\n<p>I also was amused by the large orange dot in the middle (shown below). That is Dave, my husband, who I\u00a0met while we were both getting our MA at Chapman University. We went on\u00a0many years later to get our doctorates at\u00a0Pepperdine University, which is\u00a0represented in light orange on the map.
