As I think toward next semester, I'm working toward preparing for classes more effectively than I ever have before. I'm going to be teaching a full load and want to also continue to invest lots of time in our son's life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">One way I can become more efficient is to build checklists as I prepare, to make future class prep faster. <!--more-->Those of you who are interested in learning how to develop checklists should read the book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0312430000\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=innovatelearn-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0312430000\" target=\"_blank\">The Checklist Manifesto<\/a>. It is a fantastic description of the difference they can make in our lives and how to build great ones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Chronicle's <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/blogs\/profhacker\/\" target=\"_blank\">ProfHacker<\/a> recently reposted a link to one of their author's <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/blogs\/profhacker\/end-of-semester-checklist\/22887\" target=\"_blank\">end-of-semester checklist<\/a>, which I found to be helpful.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>What are you doing to prepare for next semester's classes?
